The Picture Butte Golf Club has been the proud host of various Provincial Men’s, Ladies, and junior events over that past number of years.  Recently, we were the host of the 2006 Canadian Senior Match Play Championship, attracting some of the best senior players from across Canada and The United States.

2024 Tournament Package

Deposit and Payment Information

• Tournaments will be confirmed only by receipt of deposit. A two hundred ($200) deposit is required at time of booking to guarantee your tournament date. Such deposit will be applied to your final bill.
• All prices are subject to 5% GST.
• All prices related to Food and Beverage items are subject to a 18% gratuity.
• The Picture Butte Golf Club will provide you with an invoice for your tournament balance. Payment is due on receipt of invoice and payment may be made by cheque or credit card. 2% per month interest (24% per annum) will be charged on all overdue balances. Overdue balances are defined as an outstanding balance after 30 days of receipt of invoice.

Weather

• In the case of cold or inclement weather, tournament play and meals must go ahead as scheduled unless the Superintendent or Head Golf Professional of the Picture Butte Golf Club deems the golf course unplayable. If this is the case you will be given alternative days of play. If an alternative date is not available the tournament deposit will be refunded.

Damages

• The tournament host is responsible for the actions of its participants.
• The Picture Butte Golf Club will not be responsible for any loss or injury suffered by any participant unless such loss or injury is caused by negligence or wrongful acts of the Picture Butte Golf club or its employees.
• The tournament host is responsible for any damages to power carts, the golf course, the clubhouse, or any fixed property of the Picture Butte Golf Club. Any lost or negligent damage to power carts, or rental equipment will be charged to the individual or the tournament host (depending on who was responsible for the rental fee).

Guaranteed Numbers of Players

• The maximum number of players should be conveyed to the Picture Butte Golf Club at the time of booking.
• Your player’s list/foursome list must be faxed or e-mailed to the Picture Butte Golf Club a minimum of two business days prior to the tournament.
• The Picture Butte Golf Club reserves the right to alter starting times should the number of players differ greatly from the original booking.

Prizes and Hole Prizes

• A list of your hole prizes (Closest to the Pin, long drive…) must be provided to the golf shop no less than 2 days in advance to ensure they are complete in time for your event.
• Any additional on-course contests (Beat the Pro, Putting Contests…) must be discussed prior to the tournament date.

Responsibilities

• Players must have their own set of clubs. Rental clubs are available at the Pro Shop.
• All players should be at the golf course 30 minutes prior to start time.
• No players under the age of 18 are permitted to driving power carts
• Pace of Play – Course Marshall’s have the authority to direct groups move groups if they fall behind allotted time. Estimated time of play is 4 – 4 ½ hours.
• Proper golf attire is required at all times.

• 18 Hole Weekday - $55.00
• 18 Hole Weekend - $68.00

    • $1750- includes shotgun start, cart, unlimited number of players
    • Food banquet options are available for additional fee

Power Carts

• If power carts are required for your event, the Picture Butte Golf Club will ensure that they will have enough carts for you based on the number of players you estimate on the application (to a maximum of 60 carts). If additional carts are required, they are rented from an outside supplier and are subject to availability at an additional cost per cart. Note: additional carts require a 3 to 4-week lead-time.
• It is recommended that you include the use of power carts as part of your tournament package.
• If power carts are not included with your tournament package, we cannot guarantee their availability and cannot reserve on an individual basis.

Food and Beverage

• Food and Beverage service is required for all tournaments. Please contact the club manager for details.
• All alcoholic beverages must be purchased from the Picture Butte Golf Club. Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission regulations will be strictly enforced. Unauthorized alcohol will be confiscated. Hours of service for alcoholic beverages are 10:00 am – 1:00 am.
• All Food and Beverage prices are subject to change, and are subject to 5% GST.
• All Food and Beverage prices are subject to 16% gratuity.
• All sponsored food and/or drink needs to be approved by the Picture Butte Golf Club before any items are brought onto the premises.
